TOPSY TURVY NIGHT WITH WORLD OF OUTLAWS UNDER THE SHINY LIGHTS OF LAS VEGAS ENDS WITH 19TH PLACE FINISH
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (March 5, 2014) – Jason and the JJR/Stenhouse Jr. Racing team dropped their new Don Ott 410 cubic inch speed bullet into their Maxim Chassis and headed to Sin City for some down and dirty racing action with the World of Outlaws at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas. With 37 of the best sprint car drivers in the country in the pits, Jason wheeled the Curb Records/Pro Powder Coating #41 around the oval in time trial in 14.840 seconds. When the roar of the engines died down after qualifying he was 25th quick, which put the Louisiana star on the inside of row four for the first heat race. He powered his way to a sixth place finish which relegated him to the B-Main where he would again start from the seventh spot. But, this time he pounded the load pedal determined to finish in one of the remaining four transfer spots that advanced to the main event. When the checkered flag was displayed on the last chance qualifier, he finished fourth and moved on to the A-Main on the first night of the FVP Showdown. With a full field of quality racers pacing the speedway, the beautifully prepared AccuDoc Solutions Maxim lined up from the twenty second starting spot with Jason behind the wheel. He battled hard throughout the event until he got upside down late in the race bringing out the red flag and ending his night early. Jason was OK, but with his night over he was scored in the 19th finishing position. The driver and team will now regroup and focus on night two of the FVP Showdown.
