FORTY ONE ROLLS AROUND THE TOP TO A SIXTH PLACE FINISH IN ASCS NATIONAL TOUR ACTION AT I-30 SPEEDWAY IN HAMMER HILL SHOWDOWN

LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (April 12, 2014) – For sprint car drivers, Joe and Tracey Clay’s I-30 Speedway is a special space where high speed, hammer down racing action occurs on the red clay, high banked, quarter mile oval. The pit area was filled with 43 competitors as the ASCS National Tour was ready to put on a show in the Hammer Hill Showdown. Jason and the JJR/Stenhouse Jr. Racing team had their Mesilla Valley Transportation (MVT)/Kinsler Fuel Injection Maxim ready to attack the track. He rolled his Hoosier Racing Tires and Weld Racing Wheels onto the track for the third heat race and paced from the third starting position. When the green flag waved the driver of the orange, white, and black speed machine was on the move to the front. He would take the heat race victory over Blake Hahn and Seth Bergman to lock himself into the 30-lap feature. For the A-Main, the 4-time ASCS National Tour champion would line up on the outside of row four in the Serratelli Hat Company/Tony Lama Boots machine. Pole sitter Aaron Reutzel brought the field of powerful sprint car’s engines to a roar, but it was the Ragin’ Cajun who was making the most noise as he was rolling around the top of the speedway using the cushion to his advantage. When the first caution turned on the yellow lights around the track, the cool customer in the forty one was already up to fourth. When racing action resumed he went back to work from his ButlerBuilt Professional Seat System. This is a fast track where every inch and every second counts. When race winner Aaron Reutzel took the checkers, Jason cruised to a sixth place finish just behind Sam Hafertepe, Jr. While not a win, the consistent finish elevate the Eunice, Louisiana native to the early season ASCS National Tour points lead by eleven points over Tony Bruce, Jr.
