AFTER THE RAINDROPS STOP FALLING AT COCOPAH SPEEDWAY, THE #41 TEAM COLLECTED THEIR SECOND TOP TEN FINISH WITH A SIXTH PLACE RUN

SOMERTON, ARIZONA (March 1, 2014) – The raindrops beat the odds and delayed the start of night two at the Cocopah Challenge. With only a 10% chance of rain in the forecast, everyone felt pretty good about their chances on this race night. But, Mother Nature won as the rain began to fall before the action got started. The track officials did a terrific job reclaiming the racing surface, while the drivers and teams hung out near their haulers waiting for the green flag to wave to get things started. In the JJR hauler, Jason spent some time reading with his son Jaxx as the team continued to work on the Fischer Body Shop/Valvoline #41. When the heat race action commenced, the track was very fast and those conditions suited the driver from Louisiana just fine as he likes to move at rapid paces. For the second night in a row, he started his heat race from the outside of row three and charged to the front of the pack to take the lead and claim the win. Earning enough passing points to lock himself into one of the final four redraw spots, when all was said and done with the redraw he would roll his Hoosier Racing Tires out onto the track and line up in the fifth starting spot for the 30-lap main event. When the final lap was recorded and he crawled out of the cockpit of his Maxim Chassis, he earned a sixth place finish behind a strong field of racers that included race winner Rico Abreu, Christopher Bell, Brian Brown, Danny Lasoski, and Bryan Clausen.
