CAMPING WITH THE OUTLAWS: JONESTOWN KOA PROVIDES A QUIET, TOP NOTCH PLACE TO STAY AS BASECAMP FOR THE JASON JOHNSON RACING (JJR) TEAM WHEN THE OUTLAWS INVADE THE EAST COAST IN 2018
ROCKY MOUNT, MISSOURI (February 2, 2018) – Working your way across the country is certainly not easy for all of the teams that regularly travel with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series from coast-to-coast. But when Jason and the JJR #41 team travel to Pennsylvania they look forward to turning off the I-81 ramp at Exit 90 in Lickdale, Pennsylvania, located just north of Hershey, to set up basecamp at Jonestown KOA.
Jonestown KOA provides a quiet, convenient location to relax and unwind when they roll into the area for the races against the PA Posse at Williams Grove, Lincoln, and Port Royal. This campground features year-round full service accommodations for RVs of any size. Yurt and rustic cabin rentals are available as well as tent sites. You can always find something to do, whether tubing and kayaking down the adjacent Swatara Creek, splashing on the sprayground, or enjoying tasty ice cream or delicious wings and sandwiches on the deck at the large General Store. Another unique feature at this campground is their shuttle to Hersheypark over the summer months, providing another convenience for families.
Jason and Bobbi stated, “We are thrilled to feature Jonestown KOA on our car when we invade Central Pennsylvania each time throughout the 2018 season.” They continued, “Tammy and Kyle Boltz have been devoted to our family and team since we met them in 2005 while racing the J&S Fabrication #22 for Jim and Sandy Kline. They welcome our team and the race fans at the campground, while making sure everyone is treated with a first-class experience each and every time.”
“Our family is proud of the long history we have with our friends, the Johnson’s.” says Tammy & Kyle. “They have introduced our campground to every corner of the United States over the years and increased our visibility to the many race fans who camp. Those families fill our campsites quickly, not only when JJR rolls into Pennsylvania, but throughout the year.”
Jason and the JJR team will invade Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York in the Jonestown KOA #41 in May and July before returning at the end of September for the National Open at Williams Grove and again at the end of October for the two-day show at Port Royal.
