BACK TO THE TRACK IN FLORIDA, JASON AND THE PRIORITY AVIATION TEAM GET ROLLING WITH THE ARCTIC CAT ALL STARS AT VOLUSIA SPEEDWAY PARK

BARBERVILLE, FLORIDA (February 10, 2016) – Jason and the JJR crew were back in Florida for the second year in a row to kick off the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park. Philip, Jakob and Jeff rolled the Priority Aviation Services, LLC/Fischer Body Shop Maxim Racing #41 out of the freshly cleaned and polished transporter. There were 28 sprint cars lining the pit area and awaiting the high speed, left turn action around the Florida half mile.

The Eunice, Louisiana born racer pushed off 18th for time trials and stopped the clock at 13.280 seconds. He stayed on the loud pedal the second time around and got around quicker with a lap of 13.180 seconds, which was 13th quick overall when all was said and done in time trials.

When the heat race lineups were posted, the Mesilla Valley Transportation/Wilwood #41 would start from the inside of row three in a stacked heat race. When the green flag waved, the racing action was fast and furious with everyone dueling for the fast way around the track. Jason got shuffled back, but got up on the wheel and made a daring move driving from the top to the bottom to move into the fourth spot in the running order. He stayed on the accelerator and brought home a fourth place finish behind Joey Saldana, Jason Sides and Paul McMahan.

The air temperatures in Florida had dropped as the fans were looking for their gloves, but the engines and excitement were heating up as the 24 car A-Main pushed out on to the racing surface. The Ragin’ Cajun rolled his Dissolvalloy/www.racediecast.com Maxim onto the outside of row six to start the 30-lap feature. As the cars rolled through turn three and four in their four abreast formation fireworks filled the sky. Soon thereafter, the air was filled with the beautiful sound of sprint car motors as the green flag waved over the field. Saldana owned the early lead as Jason worked his way into the tenth position. The first 19 laps went non-stop before a yellow slowed the action. On the restart, the Ragin’ Cajun moved up to the eighth position and was hungry for more. They were racing three wide for spots and the actions was tight. Dave Blaney had taken the lead and was showing the way. He would eventually take the win over Donny Schatz as Jason secured the 11position a he ran under the checkered flag.

Jason and the team will take the lessons learned from this night and build on them as they return to action with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions on Thursday night for the second night of racing action in the DIRTcar Nationals.
