A WILD NIGHT OF RACING AT THE DIRT TRACK AT CHARLOTTE IN THE WORLD FINALS RESULTS IN A 13TH PLACE FINISH FOR JASON AND THE JJR #41 TEAM

CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA (November 6, 2015) – The World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte is the capstone event each year for the World of Outlaws. Qualifying took place on Thursday night and there were 58 sprint cars, the largest field for this event to-date, signed into the pit area. Jason was 21st quick in Qualifying Flight 2 with a lap of 12.990 seconds aboard the Priority Aviation Services, LLC/Dissolvalloy #41 Maxim for Friday night’s action. For Saturday night’s finale, he was 18th quick in Qualifying Flight 1 as he turned a lap of 13.212 seconds.

With a competitive field of eager drivers, Jason would start seventh in the sixth heat race. They were only transferring the top three to the A-Main, so there was some work to be done inside the cockpit of his Maxim Racing machine. When the green flag waved, the front row of Danny Holtgraver and Terry McCarl led the field on a scary fast racing surface into turn one. Jason moved into the sixth spot and then stared pressing for move. The cushion that had developed created a precarious obstacle for the drivers. He stayed on the gas and made his way up to fifth before the yellow was shown for a slowing Kraig Kinser. On a lightning quick track like this one bobble can cost you your spot and more. On the restart, Jason started from the outside of row three in the two-by-two restart order and when the racing got up to speed he got high and lost two positions in the running order to finish seventh.

Relegated to the D-Main, he rolled out the Waco Metal/Valvoline #41 Maxim into his outside front row starting spot. With only six laps and two cars transferring he got up on the wheel at the start and took the win to advance to the C-Main. In the C-Main, he started eleventh and was able to secure a tenth place finish, missing the Last Chance Showdown (LCS).

Forced to use a provisional, he tagged the rear of the A-Main field in the 28th starting spot. The clock had now shifted to the a.m. side of the twelve and they were still racing. Jason pulled on his Shell Shock custom painted Arai Helmet and buckled into his Crow Enterprizes safety equipment. He pushed off and rolled into his starting spot on the outside of row fourteen with Logan Schuchart to his inside. When the engines came to a roar, Trey Starks was showing the way at the front of the field with Jason maneuvering through traffic in this high speed affair. The Rocky Mount, Missouri resident patiently and methodically made his way forward. Starks would surrender his lead to Joey Saldana on lap 13 before Dusty Zomer took over the top spot on lap 17. There were numerous cautions and incidents that slowed the action, but the Ragin’ Cajun just kept moving forward. First the top 25. Then into the top 20. And, before you knew it he was in the top 15. Zomer would go on to take his first ever World of Outlaw victory as Jason brought home the Fischer Body Shop/Jonestown KOA #41 with a hard fought 13th place finish.
