BLEEDER ISSUE ON RIGHT REAR BRINGS AN EARLY END TO THE EVENING OF RACING AT “THE HOUSE THAT EARL BUILT” – ELDORA SPEEDWAY – RESULTING IN A 23RD PLACE FINISH

ROSSBURG, OHIO (September 25, 2015) – Those that know the Louisiana born driver of the Priority Aviation Services, LLC/Mesilla Valley Transportation (MVT) #41 Maxim know he is a competitor. He likes to race with the best in an attempt to be the best. Jason and his fellow World of Outlaw (WoO) invaders trekked to “The House that Earl Built” – Eldora Speedway – on their way east to wrap up the 2015 season throughout October and November. The last time the Ragin’ Cajun climbed out of his Maxim Racing chassis here he was the runner-up in the prestigious King’s Royal in July. He wanted to put on another good showing at this lightning fast half-mile.

The first step, and sometimes the most important step, in building a successful night starts with time trials. Even though this is a big half-mile oval, these speed chauffeurs sure do carry a lot of speed around here with times in the mid to high 12 to 14 second bracket. When Jason gassed up his Fischer Body Shop/Pro Powder Coating #41 the quicker of his two laps came in at a respectable 13.617 seconds, which was 19th overall.

Step two is attempting to transfer through your heat race. That is never easy when you are racing against the best the sport has to offer. Starting from the fifth starting position in heat three, Jason prepared himself has he pulled down tightly on his Crow Enterprizes safety belts. The tow truck tapped his rear nerf bar and his Kistler Engines power plant came to life. The formidable front row of Joey Saldana and Steve Kinser made up row one as Daryn Pittman and Chad Kemenah paced around in row two. When the green flag waved Saldana was the leader with the field in tow. Jason was on the gas but surrendered a few positions on the start. Saldana took the win over Kinser with Jason falling to a seventh place finish.

Relegated to the Last Chance Showdown (LCS), his Cajun adrenaline was flowing when his pulled on his Shell Shock custom painted Arai Helmet. There were four transfer spots up for grabs and he was determined to own one of them. Scheduled to start from the outside of row two there was no time to be wondering how many hot dogs they were selling in the concession stands. It was ‘go’ time. When the green lights came on around the track, he powered out of turn four and headed into turn one at full speed. David Gravel was leading and Jason was chasing him down in the Dissolvalloy Frac Ball Solutions/Brown & Miller Racing Solutions (BMRS) entry. He sure does like to go fast and from the look of it he sure must have been having fun. When the checkered flag waved, Gravel took the win ahead of Jason who crossed the stripe with a runner-up finish to secure one of the coveted transfer spots to the 30 lap main event.

Starting from the 17th starting position is no easy tasks, but then who says racing is easy. Jason likes the challenge and was working with Philip and Cole to make sure the Jason Johnson Racing (JJR) machine was ready to go aboard the Waco Metal/Weld Racing #41 Maxim. After the pyrotechnics show and four wide salute to the fans was completed, the Eunice, Louisiana speedster was focused and ready to go. Chad Kemenah led the field into turn one and was setting the pace. Jason was racing hard through traffic. Sensing a problem early in the forty one, Jason found his way to the pits after five circuits with a stuck bleeder that resulted in the air pressure building up in his right rear, which is not good. With an early end to his evening, he was scored with a 23rd place finish as Greg Wilson won his first ever World of Outlaws event.
