MEYERS HAS ANOTHER SOLID NIGHT OF RESULTS IN THE JJR #41 WITH A 14TH PLACE FINISH AT KELLER AUTO SPEEDWAY AT KINGS FAIRGROUNDS ABOARD THE PRIORITY AVIATION SERVICES MAXIM

HANFORD, CALIFORNIA (April 17, 2015) – When the JJR team pulled into the pit area at Keller Auto Speedway at Kings Fairgrounds, formerly known as Kings Speedway, they were hoping all of their hard work throughout the week would pay off with a solid showing in the Priority Aviation Services, LLC/Mesilla Valley Transportation (MVT) #41 Maxim. With Jason Meyers, the two-time World of Outlaw champion, behind the wheel substituting for Jason Johnson as he recovers from injury, the team was ready to go. There were 27 cars in the pit area and everyone wanted to be in the feature event. But, they were going to have to work for it.

Meyers pushed off 14th for time trials and the quickest of his laps was recorded at 14.221 seconds. When the last driver completed the high speed single car chase, Meyer’s time was twenty second quick overall.

Pulling onto the 3/8th mile high banked clay oval for the first heat race, he would roll the MVT/K&N Filters machine to the top side of row four. The Crow Enterprizes safety belts were secure and he was ready to pound the accelerator to get this Maxim moving forward. Logan Schuchart and Bud Kaeding paced the field to the start line and the engines came to life. Meyers wasted little time getting the Kistler Engine purring as he moved into the sixth and final qualifying spot early in the race. He stayed focused and ran a smooth race to bring home the final qualifying spot and advance directly to the feature event.

The track was evolving and the competition is always fierce when the World of Outlaws are in town. Philip Dietz and the JJR boys were hard at work in order to give Meyers the best race car possible for the 35 lap feature event. Bud Kaeding and Shane Stewart made up row one with Meyers on the outside of row ten beside fellow Californian Tommy Tarlton. Stewart would jump into the early lead on the very tricky race track which made for a relatively slow paced race. Meyers though was making progress aboard the Waco Metal/ISC Racers Tape #41 as he advanced up the the twelfth position by the 24th lap. The Clovis, California native continued to be patient, looking for every opportunity that opened up to steal another position in the running order as the track got dirty on the bottom. When Stewart took the checkers for his second win of the year, Meyers brought home a 14th place finish aboard the Jason Johnson Racing (JJR) entry.
