CAJUN LEAVES VEGAS WITH A TWENTY FIRST PLACE FINISH IN THE SECOND NIGHT OF ACTION AT THE DIRT TRACK OF LAS VEGAS

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (March 5, 2015) – This is a town where you win some and you lose some . . . well, sometimes you lose a lot. It’s a gamblers type of town and when the World of Outlaw competitors come to town you have to take risks in order to get any type of reward. For some the reward is just to get into the show because it is extremely tough to race your way in against the best in the business. Jason and the Priority Aviation Services, LLC team was in the pits along with 32 other teams vying for one of the 24 spots in the star studded field.

With E&K onboard, Jason went out ninth for time trials and turned a lap in 14.902 seconds. When qualifying was completed, the lap was the nineteenth quickest time, which meant he would start from the inside of row three for his heat race.

When the heat races were staged, the Louisiana native would pull the HRP Racing Products/Valvoline #41 into the fifth starting spot in heat three. Pole sitter, Danny Lasoski powered the field towards the green flag with fellow front row starter Donny Schatz in tow. Jason used the inside lane to secure the fifth position at the start and maintained the final qualifying spot when the black and white checkered cloth flew over the fire breathing machines as they raced under the flag stand on the last lap.

For the 30-lap FVP Showdown finale, the Dissolvalloy/ISC Racers Tape Maxim would be starting from the inside of row ten. The track in Vegas is always challenging for the racers, but it is the same for everyone and you have to take risks with regards to setup, tires and a number of other variables to make sure you are fast throughout the entire event. After the famous four-wide presentation to the fans, the drivers pumped the accelerated one last time to spread out and align back into the tight two-by-two starting formation. Terry McCarl and Ian Madsen made up the front row and it was McCarl who led the field screaming into turn one. With the dirt flying, Jason focused on finding space as the field settled into the racing grooves. He kept his Weld Racing wheels turning amidst the high speed chase around The Dirt Track at Las Vegas and brought home a twenty first place finish. The goal is consistency and year-to-date the team has made the big show for every event. The team will now make the seven hour trek down to USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona for the NAPA Wildcat Shootout on Saturday night. Come out and catch up with Jason and the entire JJR team!
